wish i was more positive i was hoping to use the 'many'(?) virtualdub filters to denoise and otherwise filter avi's. When i tried to apply noise filters, i consistently got video that played with a strong, distinctive blue tint. looks like video denoise and all of virtualdub won't improve my work flow. thanks.

Could not install I downloaded your program and tried to follow the directions. Virtualdub seems to be a standalone program which does not appear to show up in my C:\ drive. I double click from the zip file the program starts. Am I missing a step? Not much of a review. SorryPete

I used it on an old and badly-edited series of videotapes that had been digitized by someone else to produce poor-quality VOB\'s I converted to AVI with \'Handbrake\'.Unfortunately I could not see that the MSU Denoising plug-in had any noticeable effect on such AVI\'s. Thanks for making it available however.

Had a Christmas movie done with my camera, the noise and darkness was horrible that we could barely make it out. I tried this application and within minutes had a lovely Christmas movie clear as can be. Thanks Guy,Russ

It looks like fine solution... ...for noise on VHS video. Although my video is very very damaged, I manage to get decent results with this plugin!

crash under virtualdub 1.81 Unfortunately, both msu_denoiser.zip and msu_smartdeblock.zip crashed under virtualdub 1.81. One crashed intermittently; the other, always.I was using a matrox mjpeg compressed avi file & was attempting to convert it to divx or xvid. I used filters under virtualdub such as resize & deinterlace, along with one of the msu plugins.My PC: win2k, amd duron 700mhz, 320mb ram, matrox marvel g400 agp-4x.I guess the plugins work ok on older versions of virtualdub, but it would be nice to see them work with the latest versions as well.Sincerely,Patrice Remy

Hi to all.I have download msu subtitle remover and install, but it\'s not function. Have virtual dub.When i try to make a sub remove ( also look how to do over you tube )and in left side normal movie with sub and right side black and write that side have to be the side where i can see when remove subtitle, but the subtitle still are there in both side. First look Ive got to say that this tool really fits in his name.i am very satisfied with the quality which can be achieved.

Your Product. I have NO experience with video enhancers. I used this enhancer in attempt to better the quality of a video from my phone. The enhancer did absolutely nothing visually that I could notice, just increased the file size from a few megs to 336MB. I don't know, maybe it's not for phone videos in my assumption.

How valuable is your video? I found the item somewhat useful, output files created were quite large and clearer than original, resampling was a slow process over 2 hours for a 8 minute video, for the time involved improvements to original file are not so great. Unless video is really valuable.

My personal opinion Software may work well on faster systems, but decoding/conversion speed is very slow even at 2.8 GHz P4 with 1.5 GB DDR-II Ram, so I don't really think it is worthy.

Video Enhancer works! I found Video Enhancer works really well for converting from one format to another. It makes this very easy plus you get the benifits of increasing quality and so on.

Testing Video Enhancer 1-Wizard expects user to know a lots about filters does not suggest a specific filter.2-The latest version of Quick time is installed on my system but when I try to enhance a phone video it asks to install Quick time?!!3-Not sure I'll keep this application as I could not yet complete one video enhansment.Thanks

MSU Color Enhancement - A short Review This plugin is not one that you will use all the time. However, when you have a dark scene that you want to brighten you can use the (internal) "levels" filter to brighten the sceen without losing contrast. As the scene is brightened you will lose some of the color saturation and a lot of snow will appear. To fix that run it through the "MSU Denoiser" filter (I use version 1.6.2 since 2.5 crashes VirtualDub). Finally add the "MSUColorEnhancement" filter. In MSUColorEnhancement's configuration select "Color Enhancement" and touch nothing else.This has worked very well for me on several videos that ...

Yeah, Ok... I'd love to review it, but after the download I looked around for installation instructions but could not find any. Is it stand-alone? Is it a plug-in? I thought it was a plug-in, but could not find any way to "plug it in!" I'm clueless, so clearer instructions would have been very helpful in my case..

Novice perspective I am a complete novice with VirtualDub and had no problem immediately outputting with the plugin. On the downside the audio didn't fair well but that's easily overcome with editing. Also, I may find the solution by tweaking the threshold settings but in drawing mode the lines move quite a bit from frame to frame. Example, carpeting looked like rippling water they way the lines changed from frame to frame. But hey - great results for a completely free plugin!
